As a multidisciplinary filmmaker, I'm drawn to the extraordinary within the ordinary, uncovering hidden layers of meaning in everyday life situations. My filmmaking style is often characterized by a focus on long, observational shots, which allow me to capture the subtle transformations that occur over time. Born in Albania and raised in Italy, my cultural heritage is a rich tapestry of Mediterranean warmth and Balkan intensity, with a depth and complexity that can be both calm and turbulent. This diverse background has influenced my artistic vision. Through my work, from the short films of my academic years screened worldwide, to the experimental project "egh-ovalis", presented at the Venice Film Festival (2016), and the immersive installation at the Gagosian Gallery in Rome (2017), I explore the push-and-pull between illusion and disillusion.
